Spring is hate...

Back from LRL'07

A pretty shit edition, this year. Sun all along the week-end, free stuff given away by Google, Red Hat and other sponsors, interesting talks, comfortable beds at the Novotel, which was at a decent walking distance from the venue (and the other pubs we had to frequent). The worst of it was when I had to meet all these people that I call "my friends", and hang around with them drinking delicious beers. I had to have a laugh with them every single day. What a shame.
The Lugradio Live And Unleashed episode was a bit lame, for we had to bear the four large gents one more time in a "we don't have an episode number" recording. And we had fun. Yes! Fun! And not to forget the stuff given away, including an Ubuntu shirt that I had from Adam Sweet. Yes, an Ubuntu shirt, you know? How disgusting.

Furthermore, they just had the guts to announce that there would be a Lugradio Live in the US, probably set in San Francisco, at Google headquarters, surely. So they are to fulfill the promise they made. What's next? Hell freezing over?

Sunday evening was the only moment when I saw the light in this tunnel. Thanks to tonytiger and his legendary sense of disorientation, we went completely lost for almost an hour wandering in cloudy and cold Wolverhampton, desperately looking for the Quality Inn Hotel, where everyone was drinking beer while we were walking endlessly. Unfortunately, we managed to get a taxi, and we had to endure a shitload of jokes - and some of them were actually funny - including the Gorilla joke - until the end of the night.

Anyway, I wouldn't like to appear a bit bitter, but with such an incredible amount of negative points, and if they don't pay attention to their audience, I'm about to threaten them: I may come over to Wolverhampton once again next year.
You have been warned, large gents. Please don't disappoint me again.
